Please read the following job description thoroughly to ensure you are the right fit for this role before applying.What you’ll do:As a Principal Visual Designer specializing in onboarding and continued learning experiences at SAP, you will lead the visual design strategy and execution across all aspects of user engagement. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and create visually compelling and intuitive onboarding experiences that set a high standard for user engagement and satisfaction. Your role extends to crafting and refining the visual language for educational content, ensuring consistency and clarity in all learning materials. You'll leverage your expertise in design principles, typography, color theory, and user-centered design to elevate the aesthetic appeal and usability of our products' learning journeys, fostering a seamless and enjoyable user experience.What you bring:Bringing extensive experience as a visual designer, you possess a robust portfolio demonstrating your proficiency in creating impactful and visually appealing interfaces. Your deep understanding of UX/UI design principles allows you to translate complex concepts into visually intuitive designs that enhance user comprehension and engagement. Strong leadership skills enable you to mentor and inspire junior designers, driving excellence in visual design within the team and beyond. You excel in collaborating with stakeholders to understand user needs and business objectives, translating them into innovative and effective design solutions. Your attention to detail ensures that every visual element aligns with brand guidelines and enhances the overall user experience.Expectations and tasks:Lead the visual design strategies for onboarding and learning experiences, ensuring alignment with product goals and user needs.Partner closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to generate innovative and user-centric product experience concepts.Create high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and design systems that enhance the visual appeal and usability of onboarding flows and educational content.Collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, content strategists, and developers to integrate visual design seamlessly into product experiences.Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure the highest quality of visual execution across all projects.Continuously research and stay up-to-date on the latest design trends and technologies, particularly those shaping the future of user experience.Champion design best practices and establish new patterns that can be contributed back to a design system that ensures consistency and scalability across our product suite.Present design concepts and ideas clearly and persuasively to design leadership and executives, fostering collaboration and buy-in.Mentor and collaborate with junior designers and cross teams, fostering a strong design culture.About you:10+ years of experience in design, with a strong focus of UI design.Proven ability to lead and inspire a team of designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.Experience designing for a variety of user experiences including first-use or guided tours, demonstrating versatility and adaptability.A strong understanding of design principles, with a focus on user-centered design, user experience, and user interface design.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders at all levels.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of creativity and attention to detail.Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Figma, Mural, After Effects, Pendo or WalkMe onboarding tools a plus).A passion for innovation and a desire to push the boundaries of design and elevate experiences to a new level.About the Team:Our team transforms user engagement from the first interaction onward, creating intuitive onboarding and continuous learning experiences that empower users.
