As a part ofManhattan's marketing department, the marketing specialist works under thedirection of corporate marketing and area leadership to which they areassigned. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with leadership,business development, and technical teams to design, develop, and producecompelling proposals, presentations, and marketing materials. The keyresponsibilities include:

Proposal/PresentationDevelopment and Coordination:Maintain scheduling and tracking systems for pursuit and proposal elements.Assist in developing pursuit plans and client outreach activities ahead of RFP release.Develop presentations and organize rehearsals.Gather content from team members and project partners.ContentCreation and Editing:Produce SOQs/proposals for digital and print reproduction, including editing and graphics.Draft custom content for proposals and presentations, involving writing/editing text, designing layouts, creating custom graphics, and tailoring resumes.Complianceand Documentation:Identify and monitor SOQ/proposal criteria, ensuring full compliance.Handle production logistics and arrange for timely delivery of SOQs/proposals.Embrace and implement brand standards consistently across all marketing materials.InformationManagement:Maintain systems for extracting, categorizing, and retrieving information related to clients, consultants, personnel, projects, prior proposals, boilerplate, and visuals.Ensure adherence to marketing archive procedures and electronic file structure, access, and backup procedures.OnlinePresence:Support the firm's online presence, including social media and websites.PublicRelations and Communications:Draft press releases under the direction of the Marketing & Communications Director.Support public relations efforts under the direction of the Marketing & Communications Director.Awards andEvents Coordination:Prepare and coordinate awards competition entries.Organize special events organized by the firm/company.MarketResearch and Data Gathering:Monitor sources of industry-related market information, including online and print media, newspapers, magazines, and blogs.Gather research data related to clients, competitors, past, current, and prospective markets, and relevant corporate experience.PhotographyCoordination:Coordinate project and promotional photography.Ensure compliance with copyright laws and photographer usage rights.Other dutiesas assigned.CapabilitiesUnderstanding of basic business development principles.Knowledge of database concepts.Organizational skills, multi-tasking.Attention to detail.Ability to work well with various types of personalities and work styles.Excellent time management skills and a sense of urgency.Ability to write and edit content and communications.Basic understanding of go/no-go processes.Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and MicrosoftOffice (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Understanding SOQ/proposal production, including digital and printing/binding.Passion for participating in professional development and community-focused organizations.Education/CertificationRequirementsAssociate or bachelor's degree recommended.Two or more years of relevant A/E/C experience required.Recommended: Attend SMPS and other relevant industry workshops; familiar with SMPS Six Domains of Professional Services Marketing.About Manhattan
