(FAH) develops innovative, creative expression-based programs that alleviate urgent personal and public health issues. Launched in 2016, our signature initiative, Project UnLonely, is a recognized and respected name in fighting the national epidemic of loneliness. The Project UnLonely portfolio includes programs that raise awareness, reduce stigma, and offer easily deployed and scalable solutions for community-based organizations, employers, colleges and universities, health systems, and insurers.We have a lot going for us. With the successful launch of our Founder and President, Dr. Jeremy Nobel’s highly praised book, a tested portfolio of compelling programs that are ready to scale, and increasingly recognized as thought leaders in the emerging field of loneliness, we are ready to create profound change.We are looking for a talented and energetic Marketing & Communications Associate to grow with our team. You will be hands-on in developing marketing and communications content that generates excitement about our mission. If you’re multi-talented with writing, editing, strategic thinking, and strong storytelling skills, along with the technical expertise in email marketing, social media, and demand generation, you might be the perfect fit. Bonus points for experience with nonprofit fundraising, including proposal writing, event planning, and general fundraising campaigns.We’re a close-knit team, but you’ll be working remotely.You’ll report directly to the Executive Director and work in close harmony with our entire team. Here’s more detail on what you’ll bring:Writing talent. You can adjust tone and message to resonate with your audience. You know how to draw people in with just enough sizzle to match our substance.Editing and proofreading ability. You know how to sharpen your messaging-- what to leave in and what to leave out. You’re well-versed in punctuation and grammar.Design sensibility. You understand the importance of the look and feel of a brand and you have some experience choosing and editing images for digital marketing. You put together knock-out presentations for meetings and events.Social media savvy. You’re not just experienced as a user of social media, you understand the strategic value of each platform and know how to leverage it based upon goals.Email and list management experience. You know Mailchimp and you can add your creative talent and insights to our campaigns.Juggling ability. We’re a small team with big goals - you’ll have a lot on your plate, and you won’t shrink from the challenge of prioritizing and keeping up with quick turn-arounds.3+ years of solid experience. You love to work collaboratively, learn, and share.Also nice to have for this role: Familiarity with databases (Salesforce preferred); Good working knowledge of Google Workspace including sheets and presentations; Ability to work independently and use sound judgment.Candidates must be within a few hours of travel distance from New York City.Although we are a non-profit organization, talented mission-driven renegades from the private sector are encouraged to apply! There is some flexibility in the start date for the position.SalaryCommensurate to experience.
