Marketing CoordinatorJob Summary

The candidate will strategize ways to increase visibility of our firm's attorneys, practice groups and brand.

The marketing department members work as a team, and report to the Marketing Committee.

Job Type

Entry-level position

Full-time (Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)

Onsite (in Uniondale office)

Participate in firm-sponsored events before and/or after business hours with advance notice

Responsibilities

The candidate will assist the marketing department members:

Coordinate firm events (in-person and virtual), meetings, Women's Initiative sessions

Execute event and annual organization sponsorships

Conceptualize and/or design digital and print marketing collateral, ads

Maintain firm's social media accounts; create post images; manage content with a social media calendar; interpret analytics to fulfill clients' needs and aid in business development efforts; train attorneys and staff on platforms

Email marketing (Mailchimp): import new clients to practice group lists, update contact records; design templates; send eblasts

Research, select and order promotional items; maintain inventory

Media relations - drafting press releases and creating targeted distribution lists

Prepare pitch brochures

Coordinate market recognition efforts, including award nominations and legal directory submissions, i.e.,

The Best Lawyers in America® ,

Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America , Best Law Firms®, Super Lawyers, New York Lawyers Diary and Manual®

Schedule and attend Marketing Committee meetings; prepare agenda with department members; take minutes; follow-up with Committee members on actions items

Process event registrations

Update firm's website

Process invoices; maintain departmental expenditures spreadsheet

Serve as a member of the firm's Diversity Committee; invite local law school students to apply for FDT's Diversity Fellowship; coordinate interviews with Diversity Committee partners

Track firm media mentions across digital and print channels, i.e., Google Alerts, newspapers; prepare monthly report for internal distribution

Proofreading and submitting award nominations

Onboarding attorneys and staff

Other administrative tasks associated with position

Character & Skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills and listening skills;

Detail oriented; proofreading is essential

Strong time management skills; calendar to ensure workflow is organized and deadlines are met

Handles multiple projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines

Works with minimal supervision; collaboratively when necessary

Takes initiative; creativity is applauded

Punctuality is essential

Demonstrates sound judgment

To all employees and clients, be courteous, honest, personable, optimistic, professional, reliable and helpful

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)

Foundational knowledge of video conferencing technology (e.g., Zoom)

Experience with Canva is recommended; Adobe InDesign and Photoshop is a plus (firm willing to train)

Tech savvy; ability to troubleshoot is appreciated

Education

College graduate

Concentration in Marketing preferred

Salary Range $50,000-$60,000
