RESPONSIBILITIES
UX designers define user experience for our applications, typically utilizing wireframes, flow diagrams, mock-ups, and prototypes. They work embedded within the software engineering team, and may also run user experience research and usability studies.Work extensively with business users to understand needs and provide definition to the business problems that need solving.Collaborate with business & engineering leaders to identify new product opportunities, define problems & goals, and map user flowsDefine user experiences for new and existing internal products in the financial spaceCreate wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and production quality visual designsWork within and maintain our design system, setting standards for color, type and interactionCollaborate with designers across other teams to workshop solutions, share insights and feedback, and help to grow the firm's design cultureValidate designs and concepts through usability testingWork across the firm with other teams to ensure accuracy and consistency, and to build consensus
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
2 - 3 years of experience understanding of web standards, capabilities, and best practices around common web technology2 - 3 years of experience Wireframe / visual design; ability to use modern design tools to design and prototype designs (Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, In Vision, Principle, etc.)Written and verbal communication skills across users and engineers. Basic understanding of HTML / CSS (coding ability is not required but is a significant plus)Experience working directly with end usersExperience in the Financial Services space is a plus
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $115000-$180000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end
