Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc. is hiring Sr. Analog Designer to Research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing, employing knowledge of electronic theory. Design and implement various state-of-the-art, high-speed (10-64 Gbps) analog/mixed-signal blocks for interface PHYs. Deliver detailed specifications and documentation. Develop initial circuit schematics and work closely with layout designers to drive designs to completion, including physical verification and backend/reliability flows. Drive design and layout reviews to ensure quality of deliverables and mitigate overall risk. Work closely with various disciplines, including Layout, Logical Design, Physical Design, Firmware, and Design Verification, to ensure successful cross-team engagement and high-quality execution. Evaluate project work to ensure effectiveness, technical adequacy, or compatibility in the resolution of complex electronics engineering problems. Analyze electronics system requirements, capacity, cost, or customer needs to determine project feasibility. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles.
