Associate Technical Designer - Men's & Boys

A well-established Men's & Boy's Sportswear Company selling to retailers such as Macys, Kohls and Walmart.Position Overview:

Client is looking for a motivated, organized and experienced Associate Technical Designer who can work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Associate Technical Designer Responsibilities:Work closely with technical designer, design and sourcing to create specs for development samples and costing for styles ranging from Men's to BoysMaintain and Update Block Spec libraryCreate graded specs for orders and work with Assistant Designer to complete Tech PacksConduct fittings and evaluate garments from proto to pre-productionCommunicate effectively with overseas makers through email, photo references, and video conference callsCollaborate with Production Managers to ensure timely delivery of comments to factoriesAssociate Technical Designer Qualifications:Ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in Men's & Boy's sizes 2T through 20Must have experience in all categories of tops, bottoms, knits & wovens for boys & men'sMust be able to use MS office & Excel for spec sheetsMust be proficient in using a Mac Desktop--- can use PC if desiredGood knowledge of sewing and constructionStrong knowledge and experience with children's safety protocolShould be familiar with all categories of tops, bottoms, knits & wovens along with some girls & ladiesMust be capable of working with a teamMust be able to multitask and balance multiple deadlinesClear and excellent communication skills with overseas makers
