Summary of Responsibilities

As the Lead Designer at Ben Quie and Sons, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire design process from concept to completion and presenting your ideas to the client.

Essential Functions

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and engineering, to create cohesive and innovative design solutions.Stay current with industry trends and continuously integrate best practices into the design process.Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their vision and translate it into compelling design concepts.Oversee the creation of design documentation, including style guides and design systems, to ensure consistency across all projects.Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes to align design initiatives with company goals.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred3+ years of experience in residential remodelingStrong portfolio showcasing a range of design projectsProficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, chief architect, and other relevant toolsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlinesCreative problem-solving abilities and attention to detailKnowledge of building codes, standards, and construction processesDeep understanding of the process with projects from beginning to end
