Your Impact

The primary purpose of this role is to manage and execute internal communications, with a focus on the Associate engagement strategy, supporting all Lowe’s associates in corporate offices, stores, and distribution centers. The leader will ensure the company effectively communicates information associates need to perform their jobs and stay engaged. This internal communications leader will also reinforce the benefits of working for Lowe's and promote a positive reputation for the company among all internal stakeholders. This role consults with internal business leaders and executives, advising on their communication strategy, planning, and execution for strategic associate initiatives. As a leader within the Communications organization, this role will lead the human resource communication team by support, development, empowerment, and continuous improvement. This role will lead a team responsible for communicating Lowe’s business objectives to over 300,000 enterprise-wide associates. As the manager of people, this leader will lead a function and the metrics driven communications produced by their team, as part of the broader Internal Communications function.

What You Will Do

Develops and executes results-driven internal communication plans for all resourced initiatives, guiding alignment with enterprise strategy and key business initiatives. Leader must ensure communications are developed, approved and delivered on time and on budget and assessed with clear metrics and measures

Leads a team and is responsible for supervising, overseeing, leading, managing, rewarding and motivating individuals on their team

Serves as the HR lead for organizing communications initiatives for C-Suite Chief Human Resource Officer and enterprise wide people messaging

Manages internal communications programs and activities including supporting HR communications, executive messaging/speech writing, intranet sites, multimedia platforms, digital signage, enterprise emails, leadership talking points, company newsletters, and other communications

Oversees the development of content for Lowe's intranet and collaborative technology sites, internal emails, videos, large leader-led meetings, and various communications channels

Identifies executive opportunities with internal audiences, placing individuals appropriately based on message and audience, showing strength of the executive team

Provides thought leadership and strategic counsel on opportunities that serve to elevate/differentiate the company’s associate experience as well as the company brand

Provides project and program management of complex, integrated communications programs supporting special projects and initiatives

Manages cross-functional relationships to ensure seamless collaboration with internal partners including: Store Communications, Public Relations, Investor Relations, Community Relations, Digital Content and Marketing

Develops new approaches to deliver content in an engaging way to support staying current with communication trends

Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Communications, Business Administration or related field

8 years communication experience with 5+ years of responsibility of corporate communication (internal or external)

5 years experience prioritizing and managing multiple large projects simultaneously

4 years C-Suite executive level support

5 years experience in a Fortune 500 corporate environment

Preferred Qualifications

3 years experience in developing communication that supports employee engagement and human resource initiatives
