ERL is an American ready-to-wear brand designed by Eli Russell Linnetz in Venice Beach, California. ERL launched its first full menswear collection in January 2020 in partnership with Comme des Garçons, capturing the colorful and laid-back spirit of California with simple, sensual takes on all-American staples.ERL is seeking a Designer within the luxury fashion space. In this role, you will research, conceptualize and illustrate unique collections from ideation to execution, bridging ERL's signature Venice Beach surf and skate culture aesthetic with global luxury market quality and expectation.Critical Skills:Appreciation for storytelling and character explorationPassion for styling and image buildingInfluenced by art, film and musicRequirements:A deep appreciation and understanding of luxury fashion, with a keen eye for detail and high quality.Ability to research, conceptualize, build out mood boards, sketch, and bring to life innovative designs that align with the ERL aesthetic.Strong understanding of ERL's aesthetic and vision.Ability to ideate, design, and style seasonal collections.Proficiency in illustrating strong concept presentations.Experience in men's and women's broad apparel, footwear, and accessory design.Ability to identify and select elevated fabrics, trims, and materials to achieve the desired aesthetic and maintain the highest quality standards for each design.Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Keynote.Create sketches and technical files for garments.*when applying, please submit a portfolio showcasing previous work in luxury fashion design, illustrating creativity, technical skills, and alignment with ERL's aesthetic.
