Salary range:A reasonable salary range estimate for this position is $220k-250k.

The base scale salary range, from the salary table, for this position is $103,700-$113,700.

"Off-scale salaries" and other components of pay, i.e., a salary that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions, qualifications, and experience.

Position description

The Rady School of Management () at UC San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within its faculty, staff and student body, via research, teaching, service, and/or other activities. The Rady School invites applications for one or more faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level (tenure-track) in the field of Marketing with a focus in Quantitative/Computational Marketing.

The successful candidate will need to conduct empirical research in marketing including design and analyses of field data, field and lab experiments.

The successful candidate will be expected to conduct groundbreaking research and to teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels in Marketing and Business Analytics. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching of Marketing and Business Analytics courses, improvement of curriculum, contributions to diversity, and other related activities.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications

(required at time of application)Must be currently enrolled in a PhD program or already hold a PhD degree in Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science or closely related field, and have a minimum of two years of marketing research experience.

Must have at least one year of teaching experience (including as a TA).

Additional qualifications

(required at time of start)Candidates' research must both sufficiently overlap and add to existing research interests of Rady Marketing faculty. Information on Rady Marketing Faculty can be found here: marketing.

PhD must be awarded by start date.

Preferred qualificationsTeaching experience at the graduate level is preferred.
