Great Hill Solutions is seeking a full time Strategic Communications Specialist in the DC Metropolitan area

Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited

:

Track and identify disinformation narratives related to the invasion of Ukraine as they arise.

Participate in and disseminate notes from Department, interagency, and international analyst meetings related to disinformation on Russia/Ukraine.

In coordination with the EUR/PPD StratComm team and the GEC, quickly identify key narratives that demand a USG response.

Under the guidance of EUR/PPD/StratComm and in coordination with posts and GPA, draft campaign plans that advance positive U.S. narratives that push back on Russian disinformation related to the war.

Draft and clear written products, including fact sheets, building blocks, and talking points that directly address disinformation.

Under the guidance of EUR/PPD/StratComm and in coordination with GPA, draft social media content (videos and graphics) to dispel key disinformation narratives.

Support EUR/PPD on other countering disinformation-related tasks as directed.

Basic Qualifications

:

Bachelor's Degree and at least three years of experience in international politics/foreign policy, research & evaluation, social science, communications, or other related fields.

Basic knowledge of international affairs and European or Russian affairs, as demonstrated by education or previous work experience.

Strong analytical skills to track and analyze Russian disinformation narratives related to the invasion of Ukraine.

Strong written and spoken English communication skills in order to develop a wide variety of materials, such as campaign plans, briefings, internal memos, and to communicate with inter-departmental, interagency, and international partners.

Ability to work under significant time pressure and maintain composure while working issues that require a high level of attention to detail.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Knowledge in public communication techniques, message development, social media best practices, outreach, and other public diplomacy tools.

Broad institutional knowledge of the organizational structure of the State Department and its primary mission.

Ability to work independently to assess priorities and manage daily coordination of details with minimal supervision.

Deliverables

:

Monthly Progress Report.

Furnish a combined monthly technical report stating the unclassified activities and services furnished during the preceding month.
