Duties/Responsibilities

Duties/ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the GCE LTER project for understanding the Energy budget of a salt marsh system. Participate in the development of a model to understand how temperature changes as a result of flooding and drying of the marsh.

Duties/ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the Gulf of Mexico project for understanding the deep ocean circulation and its impact on the vertical transport of hydrocarbon seepage. A significant field survey was carried out in May 2024 and recovery of instrumentation will happen in Nov, at which time there will be significant data to process and analyze.

Duties/ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the Ocean Networks Canada cabled observatory development of a specialized instrument for monitoring the hydrothermal heat flow from the deep Mid ocean ridge. Develop data quality control and quality assurance algorithms in collaboration with instrument developers to test the functional capabilities of the instrument and develop real time processing algorithms for display of data.
