This role is part of Enterprise Engineering (EE), where we provide technical standards, tools, processes, training, and subject matter expertise for product engineering and manufacturing. EE allows all Blue Origin business units to benefit from commonly used capabilities, hardware, and software and assists business units in identifying, selecting, and training engineers from both inside and outside the organization.

As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, you willwork closely with electrical, mechanical and manufacturing engineers providing library development and maintenance support for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of development activities. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Develop and maintain libraries in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environment for shared use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) representations of standard parts, commercial off the shelf (COTS) parts, common company parts, and other related library CAD data, for example symbols, blocks, tables, formats, templates, configuration and system files, and material files.Create or update 3-Dimensional (3D) Solid CAD models and associated PLM part masters of standard parts, commercial off the shelf parts, common company parts, and related library CAD models.Create or update 2-Dimensional (2D) CAD representations of standard parts, commercial off the shelf (COTS) parts, common company parts.Interpreting manufacturer and vendor catalogs, engineering schematics, government and commercial specifications and standards for form, fit, and parts listing information.Interfacing with engineers, technicians, and more to ensure the standard library of shared parts is maintained with correct metadata for downstream consumption and data retrieval.Review and audit library to ensure quality and accuracy to maintain and increase customer satisfaction.Assist with CAD tool assessment, upgrade, and function or task automation.Assist in identifying areas for improvement and improving CAD produced products.Proactively communicate regarding project and individual objectives assuring that assignments are fulfilled on time.Demonstrate a sense of urgency, commitment, and focus on the right priorities in support of customers.React effectively to change and performs other related duties as directed.

Minimum Qualifications2 year AS degree in Computer Aided Drafting, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Electrical Engineering Technology.Knowledge of designing/drafting for aerospace, automotive, marine or applicable structures, mechanical systems, fluid system or electrical systems.Familiar with ASME Y14.100 drafting standards.Familiar with Government, International, and Commercial Standards and Specifications.Experience using a 3D Solid CAD modeling software package.Proficient with a personal computer and various software including desktop publishing, spreadsheet, word processing, illustration, and database programs.Strong interpersonal skills and be self-motivated.Excellent attention to detail and strong task ownership, someone who demonstrates pride in all work.Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with Windchill product structure and relationship to CAD data.Familiarity with Windchill SupplierLink and Windchill PartsLink.A minimum of 3 years' experience with Creo Parametric.Able to write simple script files.
