Summary:
The Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting Custom Culinary internal and external communications objectives. The role is focused on promoting products, brands, and initiatives to support business financial objectives.
Responsibilities include:
Developing the Marketing Communications Calendar, Communications plans and programs (Website, Email Marketing, and Media) and systems alignment to support this (CRM, DAM, and project management)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Support, compile, and communicate a comprehensive communication strategy to support annual plan, and collaborate with the commercial team (Marketing, Sales, & Culinary) to ensure cross-functional alignment to activation.
Create and execute an annual marketing communications calendar, aligned to the communication strategy and the business plan, including internal and external communications, across print, digital, and social media.
Communication plan will have three components:
Internal - Internal communications designed to provide awareness of key industry, company, and competitive activities.
External - Trends and Insights Communications aligned to global strategy, web site content, blogs, media, and ongoing social media posts.
Support Segment and customer focused presentations and ideation sessions, as needed.
Actively collaborate and manage agency activity and presentations (CSSI, Miron, Datassential, Technomic, Mintel, IFMA, etc.)
Create relevant content aligned to Custom Culinary strategy, plans, and authentic voice.
Lead web site activity for Custom Culinary, including collaboration with the marketing team, agency management, content development, and execution.
Direct and align social media strategy and manage agency social media support.
Track and measure insights and communications results; Regularly report key metrics, with action plans for ongoing improvement to plans.
Participate in annual planning process, including Industry Assessment, Communications Assessment, and Insights to support specific plan elements.
Knowledge and Experience
Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in marketing, creative agency, media, or related field.
Minimum BA/BS degree, with strong preference for Marketing, Communications, or Business; MBA preferred
Proven knowledge of food or foodservice industry, and comfort with Foodservice Culinary (including menu development processes)
Demonstrated track record of insight/trend generation with knowledge of key Foodservice industry resources such as Technomic and Datassential
Proven success collaborating with cross-functional disciplines toward creating solutions
Knowledge & experience with digital and social media required
Physical Demands
Light physical requirements; sitting, standing, walking, desk type work; must be able to work on a computer.

Home office + office Environment
Some travel to market areas and trade events (up to 25%)
Valid US Driver's License required
