As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will implement a variety of internal communications activities for Blue Origin. This hands-on individual contributor role will help build upon our company culture by connecting our employees to our business goals, providing frequent updates on key achievements and progress, regularly celebrating our employees and teams, and continuing to build employee engagement.

In-office, full-time position

Preferred office location is Rocket Park in Merritt Island, FL. Alternatively, an exceptional candidate can work from our Blue Origin offices in Kent, WA or Huntsville, AL

Responsibilities:Support the strategy and planning for internal communications in support of company goals and business priorities

Maintain and contribute to the editorial calendar with relevant, engaging content, using internal communications channels

Manage and update internal communications platforms and channels to keep information flowing to employees

Work with the Internal Communications team to coordinate and implement integrated change initiatives, employee engagement, and communications projects including crisis preparedness, key company announcements, and company events

Work with business unit and functional leaders and teams to understand their program objectives and key activities, advise on internal communications that support the overall communications strategy, and own broad communications

Be a "doer" and "owner" who can manage disparate stakeholders and opinions - while being able to think big and invent new ways to tell Blue's story

Monitor trends, analyze and benchmark performance metrics, and generate recommendations to evaluate and accelerate communication effectiveness

Distill complex concepts into clear messages for both technical and non-technical readers

Work with teams across all of Blue Origin's sites

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related field

5+ years of relevant communications experience

Proficient in the production and use of multimedia (graphics, videos, still photos)

Expert - world-class - writing and editing skills. A detailed, thoughtful, and clear narrative writer that delivers "defect-free" content

Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organizationA highly organized self-starter capable of working independently across multiple workstreams, and as part of a team

Content strategy and content development experience

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Can easily adapt and is open to change in response to new information, feedback, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations

Team player with a collaborative, can-do, and yet humble mindset that is results-driven

Able to quickly grasp new ideas and toolsAble to make decisions with speed and accuracy based on the best available information

Impeccable judgment, endless energy, and creativity

Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion

Experience with a variety of digital platforms and communication mediums such as podcasts, video production, and multi-media event planning

Compensation range for on-site WA applicants is $100,800-$141,120Other site ranges may differ

Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
