DescriptionThe Junior IT Training & Multimedia Specialist will support the IT Training & Multimedia Production team in developing and producing eLearning content, video production, and graphic design tasks. This role requires a willingness to learn new tools and techniques, including the use of Articulate 360 for eLearning development. The specialist will work closely under the direction of the lead videographer and the lead instructional designer to ensure high-quality content delivery.

Position will be onsite in Bethesda, MD at least once or more a week. Candidate MUST: be local to the DC Metro area able to work onsite as needed AND be a US Citizen or US Person with the ability to obtain a Public Trust level 5 clearance.

Job Responsibilities:Assist in planning, filming, and editing video content according to customer requirements.Provide videography and photography services across the customer group for developing training videos and outward communications.Assist in the development of eLearning courses using Articulate 360.Collaborate with the instructional designer to create interactive and engaging content.Support the team in updating and maintaining existing eLearning materials.Operate cameras and other technologies (lights, mics) and editing software.Edit a wide range of assignments and equipment within the editing environment; assignments include but are not limited to video editing and graphic creation, media management, After Effects, Photoshop, and Adobe Premiere.Assist in conducting quality control and applying corrective actions to ensure content quality.Communicate problem-solving efforts, results, and resolutions effectively.Assist in recommending and integrating new technology and workflows to create accurate and efficient results.Support post-production and editing of video content from studio and on-location shoots.Continuously learn and implement new editing technologies and industry's best practices to maximize efficiency.Manage media after filming, organizing files, and coordinating with stakeholders.Produce videos using Camtasia, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe After Effects or Final Cut Pro X. Full productions include scriptwriting, lighting, storyboarding, use of a green screen, and animation.Assist in filming at multiple locations, handle music selection, and manage graphic production.Create short videos using a teleprompter in a studio or on location.Transcribe and caption videos.Perform technical research for the recommendation of new equipment, software, and supplies.

Required Skills:Basic skills in graphic design and familiarity with tools like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.Experience or willingness to learn eLearning development tools, particularly Articulate 360.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Ability to follow directions and work under the supervision of senior team members.Knowledge of DSLR or Cinema Cameras and videography techniques (Sony, Black Magic, or Canon).Basic experience with live streaming and editing training videos is a plus.Experience with nonlinear video editing systems and modern codecs (Pro-Res, H.265, Black Magic Raw, etc.).Experience with transcription and captioning.Proficiency with camera (video and photography) equipment.

Preferred Skills:Previous experience in video production or eLearning development.Knowledge of multimedia production techniques and software.Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks.Experience with 2D or 3D animation.Experience with YouTube, Podcasting, TV Production, Radio Production, or Documentary Film.

Educational Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in media production or a related field with 2 years of relevant experience, or an Associate degree with 4 years of relevant experience.

Work Environment:The position will primarily work in an office environment with occasional requirements to work on-site for video production or other tasks.The role may require occasional travel for training or professional development.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $49,400.00 - $89,300.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
