Responsibilities
The
Convention and Travel
department is looking for an
Event Planner Assistant
to be located in either the Dallas City Line Hub Location in Richardson, TX or the corporate office in Bloomington, IL.Convention & Travel
provides event planning services to the enterprise. We consult with business partners to plan high quality events that support business objectives. The event planner assistant role is focused on supporting event planners with planning and coordinating day meetings, larger business meetings and enterprise-sponsored events.Event Planner Assistants can expect to:Document and update meeting details on an ongoing basisUnderstand and adhere to Meeting and Event guidelinesUpdate an event management tool with current and accurate information in real-timeManage registration and attendance informationReview all vendor invoices for accuracy and processing vendor invoices according to FSS requirementsMaintain all event documentation in electronic event files
Qualifications
A competitive candidate will exhibit the following
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :Demonstrate the ability to provide remarkable customer experiences in a fast-paced environment, requiring high levels of adaptabilityAdvance proficiency with a variety of software and technology programs is essential, including
SharePoint, OneNote and ExcelAbility to influence and communicate (both written and verbally) across multiple departments and with peers, leaders, and executivesStrong attention to detailAbility to manage time to meet deadlinesComfortable with working in a fast-paced environment and working independentlyAbility to establish and maintain positive working relationshipsWillingness to seek and gather information and experiences from othersWhile Invoice processing and Accounts Payable (A/P) experience is preferred, it is not requiredWhile Event Planning experience is preferred, it is not requiredLocation:
