We are actively seeking experienced digital wide format production assistant for our large formatdigital department. Ideal candidate must possess strong background in all aspects of largeformat graphics and signage along with a positive attitude, great organizational skills and stronghands on skill set.
Salary: $19.00 - $23.00 Per hour (BASED ON EXPIERENCE)Location: Kennesaw, GAHours: 8:00am to 4:30pm (MON-FRI)
Qualifications and Duties
Print production assistant is responsible for assisting in all aspects of the physicalproduction and workflow of signs and graphics to include scheduling, coordination oflabor and materials, hands-on print production and quality control.2+ years’ experience in large format digital print and sign production for commercialsign company or printer.Proven ability using large format digital printers and equipment to include roll to roll,vinyl plotters, laminators.Exceptional quality control and discipline to produce superior graphics for our clients.Knowledgeable for preventive and periodic maintenance and upkeep of printing,laminating and plotter.• Strong ability using PC and Mac based Adobe Creative Cloud applications, specificallystrength in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and working knowledge of RIP software.• Proven ability using Microsoft Office applications specifically strength in Microsoft Excel.• Strong design file management and organization.• Knowledgeable regarding industry substrates and films.• Proven multi-tasking ability and attention to detail.• Manage inventory levels and maintain relationships with vendors for substrates, filmsand supplies.• Ability to handle demanding schedules and manage multiple priorities• Must be able to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel or crouch and must frequentlylift and/or move up to 60 lbs.• Mechanically inclined and production oriented.• Maintain a clean and organized office and production area• Possess Initiative, with problem-solving skills.
This position is not for a graphic designer. While graphic design experience is helpful,there is very little graphic design required. Rather those skills are used to preflight, createdesign templates and manipulate artwork for output.Additional beneficial skills: CAD program experience, Dye Sublimation Printing andFinishing (sewing)
