Responsible for the end-to-end design process of RouteOne digital products which span both consumer-facing and business-to-business channels. This process includes, but is not limited to: market research, design ideation and strategy, creating user stories and journey maps, creating design mockups, UI prototyping (both low and high-fidelity), and user testing based on business/technical requirements, usability standards, and optimum workflow.

This team member will actively collaborate with different development and strategy teams on different products. As such, they should be comfortable acting as a design subject-matter expert and a champion for user experience on an agile team.

Job RequirementsSupport the product lifecycle from planning through development, launch, and ongoing product enhancements.

Support the definition, development, and delivery of the product(s) following the RouteOne systems lifecycle process.Work with customers, Product Development team, and IT team to establish new UIs and enhance existing ones.Facilitate project meetings, workshops, design sessions, and whiteboarding.Sketch user flows and low- and high-fidelity wireframes in a custom material design system.Perform all work in accordance with company's quality programs, standards, and procedures.Design and develop prototypes from functional specifications, as well as business and user requirements under the direction of the Director, Product.Analyze, create, document, and UI design guidelines and standards.Maintain safety, security, and privacy standards throughout all areas of responsibility.KnowledgeWell-versed in working closely with business and technology stakeholders, helping them see the "big picture."Demonstrated experience in responsive web and native design principles.Experience developing and implementing UI design standards for large-scale platforms.Extensive experience with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and other UI-centric software.Familiar with Agile software implementation methodologies, specifically Scrum.Formal experience with Usability Methodologies a plus.Experience in defining/tracking/reporting user metrics is a plus.SkillsExtensive experience with UI prototyping tools including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with a heavy focus on component creation and library creation/maintenance.Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Visio.Experience working in JIRA is a plus.Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and HTML development tools is a plus.Ability to act as a subject-matter expert in a team setting.AbilitiesProblem solver with a strong solution/implementation focus.High degree of flexibility and adaptability and conflict management capability.Self-motivated, self-directed, and politically astute; able to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external organizations.Ability to work in a team environment.Ability to think critically.Other Essential RequirementsPortfolio of work samples and design artifacts that illustrate your approach, outcomes you've achieved and deliverables you've created is required.Bachelor's degree in Design, Digital Media, or related field is a plus.2+ years' overall work experience in a professional environment.
