As a Senior Communications Manager, People & Culture Communications within PNC's Marketing & Communications organization, you can be based in Pittsburgh, PA or one of the other Marketing & Communications locations listed.

The PNC Financial Services Group is seeking a Senior Communications Manager to join its Marketing and Corporate Communications department. The Senior Communications Manager will be part of the Employee & Executive Communications team, which includes Enterprise and Human Resources (HR) communications, as well as internal Audit, Finance, Legal, Risk, Regional Presidents Organization and CEO communications. The team also manages PNC’s corporate recognition programs.

The Senior Communications Manager will report to the Director of Employee & Executive Communications and lead a team of four talented recognition and HR communications team members.

What You’ll Do:

As Senior Communications Manager, you will work collaboratively across and beyond Marketing and Corporate Communications to:

• develop a People & Culture Communications strategy that leverages employee communications and corporate recognition programs, among other activations, to help educate, engage and empower employees to do their best work and be proud ambassadors of the PNC brand.

• identify opportunities to expand employee engagement communications and activations beyond existing corporate recognition programs to drive greater inclusion and consistency.

• serve as the executive communications lead for PNC’s chief human resources officer and provide internal communications support to other HR leaders.

• leverage employee engagement survey data, along with peer benchmarking and industry best practices, to help inform our communications and activations.

Job Description

Establishes the strategic direction and oversees initiatives, materials, and staff priorities.

Develops communication strategies; plans, researches, and develops content for complex communications initiatives.

Identifies issues and opportunities, serves as trusted advisor to organization on all aspects of communication, and engages other parts of the organization to ensure strategic alignment, clarity, and accuracy of message.

Coordinates final review and approval before internal or external communications are released.

Leads teams, coaches, influences outcomes, and evaluates success as appropriate. Has people management responsibilities, may manage managers.

Consults and advises on communications strategies based on data-driven insights.

In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
