Developer Advocate, Video Content, AWS Developer Experience

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Developer Advocate (DA) to join the Developer Experience organization, focusing on creating engaging technical video content. As a practitioner, a customer zero, and a hands-on user of some of the most exciting AWS services, you will experiment with technology on AWS to solving top developer use cases, while showing the world what is possible through creative and approachable videos. You will engage AWS and non-AWS communities, drive our efforts in this fast-evolving field, and dive deeper in AI-assisted development, developer productivity, practical application of LLMs, building agentic systems, and more. In this role, you will work with a wide range of partners from Developer Experience team and Marketing teams to share the value with developers through video content in an authentic way.

Key job responsibilitiesChampion innovation and inspire developers worldwide through video content.Produce engaging tutorials, deep dives, and interviews showcasing AWS technologies.Gather insights through video to shape the future of Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Q Developers, and other services.Create concise, technical short-form videos explaining complex concepts.About the teamThe Developer Experience team aims to inspire developers worldwide by demonstrating practical use of new technologies in cloud development.Show developers new possibilities in cloud solutions and GenAI integration in projects.Earn trust with developers through authenticity and practical experience.Minimum Requirements:5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experienceExperience with engaging video content creation on technical topics on YouTube, Instagram or similarExperience working within software development or Internet-related industriesExperience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective, data science, machine learning, or data engineeringAbility to write and present content to a technical audienceDemonstrable presence on social and technical channels such as GitHub, StackOverflow, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, or similarTrack record engaging with developer communitiesExamples of high-quality and engaging technical video contentWillingness to travel (up to 20%)About AWSAWS values diverse experiences and encourages candidates from varied backgrounds to apply.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $204,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
