An ideal candidate would have demonstrable experience or aptitude working with data – assessing, organizing, and quality-checking. The primary focus of the Editorial Specialist is to assist with data updates and markups on a variety of documents. This will require pulling data from a number of systems and sources and organizing that data for record-keeping purposes. Additionally, the Editorial Specialist will collaborate with various internal groups to manage projects and ensure all tasks are scheduled and completed on time. Professional experience in finance or another data-intensive industry, or a minor or major in a quantitative/business discipline at college, is preferred.“I am the person Capital Group is looking for.”You have a bachelor’s degree, with an emphasis on economics, finance, statistics, journalism, or a related field.You have 1 to 3 years of editorial experience OR are a recent college graduate.You ensure materials are error-free by helping to fact-check marketing materials and statistical backup.You access various databases and systems to retrieve current data to update a variety of materials.You proofread, fact-check materials and verify statistics and facts against internal and external sources.You compile circulation comments from legal, business, marketing, and creative associates onto a master document.You demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, strong grammar, and syntax skills.You demonstrate strong production coordination skills, including following production schedules, tracking deliverables, problem solving, and escalating issues as appropriate.Intermediate to advanced Excel skills desirable.Los Angeles Base Salary Range: $84,894-$135,830.In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions, and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus, plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.You can learn more about our compensation and benefits here.* Temporary positions in Canada and the United States are excluded from the above mentioned compensation and benefit plans.We are an equal opportunity employer, which means we comply with all federal, state, and local laws that prohibit discrimination when making all decisions about employment.
