Assistant Director, Social Media.In this role, you will serve as the integral part within PAE's Communications department, reporting to the Director of Communications and Alumni Annual Giving and Engagement.In this role, you will:Assume leadership role as the social media subject matter expert for the Division of Philanthropic & Alumni Engagement (PAE) communicationsOversee the day-to-day management of existing social media accountsCreate content for various social media platforms and ensure its alignment with University objectives and strategic prioritiesPursue methods to increase followership and engagementUtilize data and analytics in assessing the effectiveness of marketing and communication initiatives while also setting benchmarks for successDevelop effective relationships to identify relevant coverage areasAssist teammates with alumni engagement and fundraising needs for large-scale campus-wide traditions including Homecoming, Lantern Night and Pitt Day of GivingSkills you will need:Strong writing and video skills as well as editing capabilities in both areasA desire to be creative and a willingness to be adaptable and flexibleAbility to multi-task, meet deadlines and collaborate with othersExceptional project management skills and high degree of organizationHighly collegial, and collaborative approach to meet the needs and deadlines of teammates and various partners across various departments in PAE including Alumni Relations and Alumni Annual GivingCommitment and desire to do work that makes a positive impact locally, nationally and globallyWhy Join Us?Impactful Work:

Oversees day-to-day management of existing social media accounts and content adaptation for various platforms. Facilitates social media content that ensures alignment with University objectives and strategic priorities. Assists in methods to increase followership and engagement. Utilizes surveys in assessing the effectiveness of marketing and communication initiatives and creates communication flow mappings for campaigns and social media benchmarks. Develops effective relationships to identify relevant coverage areas.Essential Functions

Knowledge of social media subject matter and all prominent platforms.Writing and video skills as well as editing knowledge in both mediums.Experience with data and analytics for social media platformsPhysical Effort

Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary.
