Waltonen Engineering is actively seeking a Design Checker to join our team! As a Design Checker, you will be responsible for meticulously reviewing and scrutinizing design documentation to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations within the Defense industry.
Job Responsibilities
Report to Waltonen Design LeaderExamine engineering CAD models, drawings, and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and sound designInteract daily with Designers and Detailers regarding CAD models/drawingsIdentify errors and corrections needed - ensuring that designs conform to customer specificationsProvide feedback and address any issues promptlyRegularly use Creo CAD software to open, manipulate, and modify specific filesOnsite Creo training will be provided to candidates without previous experience.Qualifications
Prior experience checking designs within the defense sectorDemonstrated work history checking CAD modelsAbility to communicate constructively and professionally with team membersFamiliarity with MIL standards & GD&TWillingness to work overtime as needed, with the ability to adapt to fluctuating workloadsPrevious CAD modeling experience requiredOnly United States citizens can be consideredMust possess or be able to obtain a security clearancePreferred Qualifications
Checking experience utilizing Creo CAD softwareExposure to Teamcenter, a product lifecycle management (PLM) system, is a plusFamiliarity with Vismockup is a plusBenefits
