Position Overview:

We're seeking a talented Social Media Coordinator to join our team at Omni Digital Group as an intern. This individual will play a pivotal role in building and enhancing our social media presence for a fast-growing marketing, software, and data firm based in Coralville, IA. The role involves researching new trends, posting on our social platforms, video editing, and interacting with our online community. The hours will be 15-20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Research and identify current social media trends across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

Assist in content generation, including scripting, shooting, and editing videos and other media.

Collaborate with the internal team to execute the marketing vision and strategy.

Develop strategies to achieve high engagement levels on our social media platforms.

Monitor and report on the growth and engagement metrics of our social media channels.

Innovate and experiment with new ideas and formats to keep our social media presence fresh and engaging.

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective best practices.

Proven experience in content creation, including video editing and graphic design.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when necessary.

Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and innovation.

Key Performance Indicators:

The performance of the Social Media Intern will be measured based on the following KPIs:

Consistency in posting at least one social media post per day.

Growth in follower count and engagement rates across all social media platforms.

Successful completion of assigned projects aligned with departmental goals.

Achievement of departmental objectives ("rocks").

Demonstration of the company's core values.
