At Verizon, we don’t just wait for the future, we build it. That statement is never truer than within our Media and Engagement team. As part of the Media Platforms Center of Excellence, we are shaping the future of how Verizon Value uses media and connections to fuel company growth. This role will partner with the Verizon Value Organization and the rest of the Central Marketing Organization to build digitally focused media plans that drive awareness, demand, engagement and ultimately loyal consumption of our products and services.

As a member of this fast-paced and energetic team, you will be responsible for shaping the digital media strategy specifically in paid search, paid social and programmatic channels, and driving the execution of key initiatives. Reporting to the Associate Director and Senior Director of Media Strategy & Activation supporting Value Brands, you will partner with a broad & cross-functional set of talented stakeholders, particularly supporting Verizon Value campaigns as well as channel and special project strategies.

  • Develop and execute bold, innovative strategies for Verizon Value’s approach to digital media.

  • Lead digital/biddable strategy and plan development (with media agency) to ensure both ladder into a holistic marketing approach to fulfill key initiatives and goals throughout the year across the Value portfolio.

  • Define the role of digital channels for each brand that will vary based on distribution, value proposition, and KPIs.

  • Support/coordinate with other media team members on larger, cross-media and marketing campaigns.

  • Partner directly with key stakeholders & counterparts in Integrated Marketing, CMI, and Marketing Effectiveness to effectively tie digital media outcomes to deliver on business and marketing objectives.

  • Partner with the agency analytics team to report on digital campaigns, and apply advanced analytical skills to identify any performance highlights and/or trends to inform digital strategy & tactics for moving forward.

  • Prepare presentations to showcase digital media plans to internal stakeholders, inclusive of senior leadership.

  • Ensure effective budget management across Verizon Value digital campaigns.

  • As needed, provide oversight, guidance, and management of digital JBPs for portfolio.

  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and transformation, inclusive of go-to-market strategies, DCO, and overall integration between digital media and creative.

  • Educate internal teams on the evolution of programmatic technology and paid social/search strategy, what’s leading in the marketplace, and what tech can be utilized.

  • Enhance partnerships and vendor relationships by identifying new opportunities to drive the business utilizing data and providing product consulting for the development roadmap.

*What we’re looking for...*

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience in digital and biddable media (either agency or in-house for a brand).

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience in digital media strategy planning and activation with a focus on search, social, and programmatic (display, audio, dOOH, etc.).

  • Experience in managing full-funnel digital campaigns, inclusive of upper-funnel digital tactics as well as lower-funnel acquisition strategies.

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with comfortability in creating visual, data-driven presentations particularly for cross-functional executive leadership.

  • Ability to understand business and marketing strategy and correlate outcomes to media actions/KPIs within digital channels beyond just efficiency.

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with brand marketing, creative, and media planning teams to achieve the same marketing goals.

  • Effective management and oversight of agency partners that specialize in platform based digital campaign execution.

  • Effective and efficient project management and campaign execution skills.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $118,000.00 and $218,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
