Communications Manager:Preferably three years of experience in a broad range of communication strategies and execution.Impeccable written communication skills, proper grammar and broad comprehension of the English language.Attention to detail and proficiency with Microsoft Office and knowledge of graphic design software.Knowledge of working with websites and social media is important.Organization, creativity, initiative, relationship building are crucial in this position.The ability to think and execute strategically and creatively with visual and written content.The ability to multi-task and effectively handle multiple issues and a high volume of workAn understanding of the conservative Mennonite culture is helpful.Photography skills are a plus.Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Communications Manager:Develops and oversees external and internal communication strategies, focused on telling the stories of the residents and staff, including media outreach, social media, paid digital media and video.Manages and provides content of the website(s) and social media channels.Develops, maintains and enhances relationships with media sources in the region.Writes and publishes engaging content on the Fairmount website(s) and social media channels.Manages paid media campaigns (digital and traditional).Coordinates the production and editing of

biweekly internal newsletter.Manages/creates internal communication for a wide variety of information, including campus updates, personnel announcements, community meetings, events, etc.Designs or assists with design of marketing materials, posters, fliers, ads, email campaigns, etc.Assists with planning special events and open houses.Assists with designing and coordinating advertising opportunities.Coordinates and oversees the volunteer program of the community.Reviews, and, if possible, improves communication from other departments to external markets.Works collaboratively with the Director of Development.Responds to web inquiries.Takes photographs of campus happenings and resident and team member events.
