MTC Graphic Designer - Part Time

Job Description
This position is central to the missionaries' role to 'Invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.' Graphic designer are support, entry level, individual contributors that creates print, presentations, and online graphics for MTC products. Please attach a resume and portfolio to this application. Responsibilities
Reports to supervisor or manager level in the Training Department• Assists instructional designers with layout, typography, photo manipulation, and design of instruction materials.• Designs messaging for MTC information and services.• Designs booklets, brochures, and presentation graphics.• Assists in sign making and other miscellaneous projects.• Meets with developers and designers to discuss the scope and graphic requirements of projects.• May include other temporary assigned duties at the MTC (e.g. assisting with Mission Leadership Seminar)
Qualifications
Required:• 1 year of experience in graphic design• Courses in graphic design OR equivalent combination of both experience and education• Portfolio demonstrating strong design, typography skills, layout skills and color theory• Working knowledge of and experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, AfterEffects, and Illustrator.• Ability to give and receive feedback.• Ability to navigate Mac OSX functions.• Works well without supervision.• Ability to take direction and projects from multiple supervisors.• Ability to give and receive feedback.To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time and using monitors/equipment.
Preferred:• 2 years of experience in graphic design
