Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine Job Title: Administrative Coordinator of Social Media & Marketing Schedule: Full-time Exempt/Will be Non-exempt 1/1/2025 Location: On-Site in Provo, UT Pay: Salary Benefits JOB SUMMARY This position works under the Marketing and Communications Manager, supporting and collaborating closely to develop and implement innovative marketing and communications strategies across various media platforms with the goal to expand and engage Noorda-COM’s audiences. The ideal candidate will have proven skills in social media content creation, photography, videography, editing, and data analysis. In partnership with the Marketing and Communications Manager, this role involves creating and executing an integrated marketing and communications strategy to enhance brand awareness and recognition. The candidate should have a passion for storytelling, a creative mindset for experimenting with new ideas, and a deep understanding of current digital marketing best practices. ACCOUNTABILITIES Manage Social Media Platforms Act as primary content creator for official social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), including shooting and editing photos and videos and writing captions. Remain up to date with changes in all social media platforms. Coordinate and execute social media posting schedule. Assist in other management needs for social media accounts (posting, scheduling, monitoring, and interpreting data) Collect metrics and interpret social media data. Website and Communications Act as the primary editor and designer for the college’s website. Collaborate with internal campus website content creators. Design, write, and distribute quarterly e-newsletter and other email campaigns. Collaborate with other departments to satisfy their social media, copywriting, email, or website needs. Writes media materials i.e. (news releases, public service announcements, pitches, and other media advisories) Contributes in the training and guidance of faculty, staff and students on best practices for working with media. Works collaboratively with the Marketing and Communications Manager to develop and implement a strong brand strategy and story, aimed at improving brand awareness and reputation. QUALIFICATIONS Education and Certification: A bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or other relevant field from an accredited institution of higher education. Experience: This is an entry level position. Minimum of two years of experience is preferred. Preference given to candidates with demonstrated experience managing social media accounts, graphic design, photography/videography creation and editing. Skills & Abilities: Copywriting and storytelling experience Social media content creation experience/management from a strategic perspective Photography and video creation and editing (highly preferred) WordPress or other website development experience Adobe Creative Suite – particularly InDesign and Illustrator. Adobe Lightroom (highly preferred) Canva experience (highly preferred) Critical thinking with an eye for creativity Eye for design/artistic view Must be: Exceptional at written, oral presentation, and listening skills. Able to work independently yet is an effective participant in cross-functional teams. Self-motivated, self-disciplined, have a strong work ethic and capable of establishing priorities in an executive setting. Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and effectively handle frequent interruptions. Innovative, resourceful, detailed oriented, with excellent follow through skills. Capable of balancing multiple projects while meeting deadlines, achieving desired results, and maintaining positive relations while understanding the importance of confidentiality of data and information. Able to maintain confidentiality. Work Environment: This is an on-site, in-office based position. This position requires some early morning, evening, and weekend work as needed.
