Amazon Canada’s Central Marketing team is responsible for delivering engaging customer experiences onsite and offsite, and bring traffic to the website. Our goal is to delight Amazon customers with inspiring content and help them fulfill their shopping missions by driving awareness and discovery of Amazon’s products and offerings. We are looking for a seasoned marketer to join our Traffic team and lead Organic Social Media and Outbound Marketing charter. The team is looking for a top notch marketer who can create and define successful traffic strategies, design and execute well-structured tests, roll out end-to-end campaigns, and optimize performance over time against a clear set of performance goals. In this role you will leverage our brand handles on all viable social media platforms and outbound channels (email and push) to grow and communicate with our audience. You will be responsible for outbound program management across email and push notifications, executing campaign strategies aimed at driving discovery, trials and engagement with the right content.

To be successful in this role you will need to both see the big picture and be able and willing to execute rapidly. You will understand both the art and science of online marketing and have proven experience setting up structured marketing tests and analyzing results for actionable insights. You will have an eye for detail, aptitude for data analysis, and proven success in driving substantial results. You will be comfortable working with complex challenges, appreciate white space and autonomy, and understand the value of a rapid test and learn approach. You’ll be equally comfortable working with marketers, product managers, engineers, and teams ranging from finance to analytics. You will have experience managing internal stakeholders across teams and partnering with external agencies. You will develop marketing playbooks and best practices, monitor social media and outbound trends, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. You will deep dive and size the ROI for new initiatives.

Key job responsibilities

Drive marketing programs to bring traffic to Amazon.ca

Plan and deliver online campaigns, including social media and outbound campaigns, and placements on Amazon.ca website and mobile app

Run social media campaigns to grow and engage Amazon's social media following

Using a targeted approach, send the right content to the right customer segment to maximize campaign engagement

Build, execute, and scale campaigns across our organic platforms and channels, and continuously innovate on opportunities for channel expansion

Build and maintain operating plans and roadmaps of initiatives

Influence internal stakeholders on the prioritization of CA-first and parity initiatives

Partner with external advertising agencies to deliver offsite ad campaigns

Create marketing content to be used in onsite and offsite marketing campaigns; collaborating with designers to develop creative assets

Compile, analyze, and present performance metrics, identifying opportunities to enhance campaigns and improve performance

Work effectively across organizational boundaries to define, manage, and prioritize work

Develop robust A/B testing programs to optimize for customer engagement and conversion

Reporting on progress against goals to senior management

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

Experience in online advertising/marketing/sales/digital media

Preferred Qualifications

Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint

Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners

Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages

Knowledge of SQL at the interemdiate level

Experience executing scaled marketing campaigns through email or social media

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
