A Technical Artist is the key bridge between artists and engineers, and the client’sTechnical Art team is looking for a new member to help us build the experiences, and capabilities that are core to our Metaverse efforts. The ideal candidate will be joining a highly creative team that is building out what the future of the internet will look like. The team cares greatly about work/life balance and prioritizes it!Role Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):Partner with the engineering, and other partner teams to build demos/prototypes/experiences that demonstrate our platform’s latest capabilitiesDevelop and create high-quality, optimized 3D assets, materials and shaders as neededImplement runtime logic within a complex real-time environment with performance limitations in mindImplement dynamic and responsive visual effects that enhance the player’s immersive experienceQuickly solve issues with cross-functional leadsMust-Have Skills:4+ years of experienceExperience with prototyping and gameplay programming in Unity or UnrealExpertise with multiple DCC packages (Maya, Houdini, preferred)Experience with procedural visual generationExpertise with multiple game engines (off the shelf, or proprietary)Experience collaborating on multi-disciplinary teamsExperience communicating across team members including engineers and designersExperience in real-time content creation (characters/environments/VFX/animation/lighting)Experience working with version control systems (Git, Perforce, etc.)Nice-to-Have Skills:Strong Python, Unity, C+ experience (at least 1)Experience with using BlenderDeep understanding of graphics pipeline, runtime behavior systemsThe target hiring compensation range for this role is $59.00 to $65.56 an hour.
