Digital NEST is a workforce development center focused on growth and expansion.JOB OVERVIEW:
The Vice President of Marketing and Communications will develop and implement comprehensive communication and marketing strategies.RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead the creation, execution, reporting of the Digital NEST strategic communications planDevelop and lead the thought leadership strategyOversee digital marketing effortsManage media and public relations programsOversee brand integrationDevelop and oversee storytelling strategyManage internal communicationsContent Development (20%):Oversee creation of compelling marketing materialsCreate and implement organizational content strategyLead the marketing and communications teamOversee storytelling processCreate compelling end-of-year and fundraising collateralPrograms Communications Support (20%):Collaborate with program directorsLead the mar/com team in member recruitment and engagementOversee consistent look and feel for program collateralLeadership and Staff Supervision (10%):Participate in leadership-level meetingsProvide supervision of the marketing and communications teamRepresent Digital NEST externallyPrepare and support external talking points for Leadership TeamQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree required; Minimum of a B.A., ideally with an advanced degreeAt least 15 years of senior communications and/or marketing experienceAt least 7 years in a supervisory roleExcellent oral and written communication skillsAvailability to work and travel occasional nights and weekendsSelf-starter with initiative and creativityAbility to lead effectively in times of changeExceptional time management skillsProfessional demeanor and ability to use tact and diplomacyREQUIREMENTS:Passion for the mission of Digital NESTUnderstanding of and sensitivity to diversity issuesAbility to be an ally to marginalized groupsValid CA driver's license, pass a background check, and ability to travel and work evenings or weekends occasionallyNOTE:
