We are sports junkies who leverage our industry knowledge with decades of combined experience in the sectors that are increasingly intertwined with the business of sports, including real estate, financial services, consumer brands, technology and more.ABOUT THIS ROLEBerlinRosen is seeking an Account Supervisor to join our rapidly-growing Sports Business team. This person will lead daily client relations, plan and execute day-to-day and long-term project deliverables, support and lead junior staff and conceptualize strategies, pitches and media placements. You will work closely with client leads and internal staff, delegating to peers and junior staff and develop and advance strategy with senior leaders. In this role you will advance game changing sports and development projects and initiatives, while also supporting crisis communications, across different markets and verticals. This is a great opportunity for someone who is well-plugged in the world of media, has a passion for the business of sports and its relationship with cities and the built environment and wants to take the lead on client initiatives and work.Role location:

This role is based in our Washington, D.C. office on a hybrid basis. The Sports Business team is in-office 2-3 per week.ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONSAs an Account Supervisor on the Sports Business team you will…Develop and implement strategy and campaign planning for multiple high-profile client accountsEngage with key reportersWrite and edit persuasive external and internal documents such as press releases, op-eds, fact sheets, talking points, editorial board memos and communications strategiesParticipate in business development opportunitiesManage internal client teams and mentor junior staffTravel and staff client events or in-person meetings as neededEssential skills:A minimum of 5 years of experience in communications: in-house for sports companies, media or journalism; PR agency experience preferredFamiliarity and interest in professional sportsAbility to handle multiple assignments at once, work quickly and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated relationships with reporters and strong news senseAbility to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with varying levels of staff, clients, the media, etc.Strong attention to detailAbility to work with a team to meet group objectivesProficient in Google and Microsoft software suitesNote: Interested in this role but it’s not quite the right match?
