Primary Responsibilities The Executive Director of Marketing will report directly to KeHE’s Vice President of Marketing & Digital Media and oversee the KeHE’s insight automation, which augments communications with smart intelligence to drive commercial success, digital events team, KeHE’s content platforms, public relations, social media, and feedback initiatives. This strategic leader will be responsible for influencing cross-functional partners and external partners and for leading a team that is responsible for topline and bottom line advertising contributions. As with all leadership positions at KeHE, the successful candidate’s actions are expected to be consistent with KeHE’s Mission, Vision and Values.

Essential Functions

DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Brand:Develop and measure enhanced brand positioning to move the perception of KeHE’s brand along the maturity continuum.Deploy the marketing strategy across the enterprise that distinguish KeHE’s brand and drive commercial growth.Launch an updated KeHE.com website to increase leads by 5 times.Communications, Social Media & Public Relations:Create and oversee enterprise strategy for all external communications including National KeHE Shows and external industry tradeshows along with working cross-functionally and with outside partners, main responsibilities will lie in the areas of:Create and communicate communications plans.Create Smart communications that are repurposed via different platforms.Internal and External Communications (including email marketing, text and website management).Relationship management, which includes the ability to influence cross-functional leadership and managing agency partnerships.Develop innovative show floor experiences.Enhance the experience of the supplier specifically on social media.Create reports and summary dashboards to drive commercial success and modify campaigns accordingly.Lead content team and deliver a plan to grow web traffic and followers by 5,000 followers or 125% per year.Strategically manage public relations/social/ and web management agency relationships to garner world-class agency support.Voice of the Customer:Conduct the annual Voice of the Customer Surveys deriving applicable analytics for presentation to internal teams.Co-create action plans with executive sales leadership for areas of opportunity across the organization based on the data.Present and influence the enterprise to enhance CX.Create and develop the retailer list and supporting elements for the Retailer Advisory Council meetings including substantive meeting agendas and presentation decks.Self-funded Solutions:Manage KeHE’s Digital Marketing Platform to ensure retailers have an ease of use and order and suppliers are interested in participating; ultimately creating a platform that can be used to have up to 50 virtual shows per year and have increasing other income revenue opportunities.Produce opportunities to sell KeHE data to Retail partners.Develop the CRM or customer management tool with IT with clean and usable data to implement decision-worthy data.Marketing Technology/ Insight Automation:Grow marketing technology to produce advertising income to replace KeHE’s reliance on publications and continue the digital evolution.Implement communication campaigns via Microsoft Dynamics in partnership with IT and external agency partners.Craft the vision and implement platform to customize promotional events for retailers or channels – focusing on reach, frequency, and monetization.Strength in influencing KeHE’s partners’ participation in KeHE programs.Nimbly adjust campaigns based on performance, A/B testing and increase efficiency.Develop B2C opportunities, which may include couponing and communication campaigns.Drive top line sales and bottom-line financial plans to align to the strategic plan through:Support and drive pipeline to lead management.Improve customer and supplier experience.Drive dollars via behavior targeting.Events:Oversee event marketing team.Plan, promote and Implement show strategy (physical & virtual) simultaneous shows which are measured by satisfaction (NPS), sales goal, attendance, and other income goal.Drive strategy for future events and shows based on data analysis and experience.Assist in planning for future events and shows.Assist Vice President with annual budget process and have ownership over several departments.Manage the marketing budget to plan.Assist Creative Director with various tasks and tasks assigned by Vice President of Marketing.Other duties and projects as assigned.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:Microsoft Office expertise, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.Knowledge of Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, Google Ads, Google Analytics, BrightEdge, SEMrush, The Trade Desk, Basis, Heap, Adobe Analytics, Marketo, Demandbase, WordPress, Treasure Data, Tableau, Power BI, and more.Expertise in crafting and executing comprehensive integrated marketing and communication strategy, implementing MarTech, and leveraging data-driven analytics to enhance ROI and drive operational efficiency.Ability to drive strategic visions.Ability to influence high-level leaders of cross-functional teams.Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including some weekends.Ability and willingness to travel up to 30%.Strong communications skills both written and verbal at all organizational levels.Proficiency in conducting effective meetings and making concise presentations.Strong negotiating, interpersonal and organizational skills.Demonstrates effective project management skills with the ability for prioritization to achieve and maintain goals/deadlines.Demonstrate the ability to be collaborative in work across multiple teams.Demonstrate the ability to present material in a polished and articulate manner with strong presentation skills.A high attention to detail including deadlines and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.Strong analytical and thinking skills.Ability to manage large volumes of data and learn new skills.Effective listening skills.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field.12+ years of experience in marketing, events and 6+ years of experience of management.Experience using and deploying Microsoft Dynamics.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
