Content Specialist

to support our government client. In this role you will support professional Drupal web development and content management support to assist the client with operating, maintaining, and enhancing the clients public and intranet websites. You will also be involved with the design and delivery of technical solutions and custom application development within the Customers environment. This is a remote role based in Washington, DC. but may require occasional meetings in person. Candidates must be eligible for a Public Trust clearance.

Is this the next step in your career Find out if you are the right candidate by reading through the complete overview below.Duties and Responsibilities:Provide content management and publishing support from 9:00 am (ET) to 5:30 pm (ET) Monday – Friday, in a manner that maximizes site usability and facilitates a seamless user experience (UX).Establish a process and service level agreement for publishing content that addresses quality assurance and the frequent need for quick turnarounds.Prepare and publish website content, graphics, and files.Coordinate remediation of non-508-compliant files prior to publishing.Perform QA of content submitted for publication by reviewing for and correcting errors in spelling, punctuation, and syntax; recommending plain language edits for improved usability, compliance and ensuring links work and copy displays correctly on staged and published pages.Troubleshoot and remediate broken links and website errors identified by site scanning tools or reported by users.Create pages with an emphasis on improved functionality and UX to effectively display content and increase/amplify data clarity.Make recommendations to enhance the site navigation and other components to enhance the UX and customer experience.Required Experience and Skills:Knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Office and web development processesExperience with web content analysis and strategy.Expert knowledge in plain language, usability principles, and web best practicesExperience architecting and developing a Federal Agency website and implementing the requirements of 21st Century Integrated Digital Experience Act in accordance with the guidance provided in OMB Memo M-23-22Understanding of Web Consortium Accessibility Guidelines v2.0 (WCAG 2.0) and established techniques for creating accessible web content.Education:Bachelor’s degree and eight of experience; OrMaster’s degree and six of experience; Orsubsequent work experienceSecurity Clearance:Candidates must be eligible to obtain a US Public Trust clearance.If you feel you are qualified and want to be considered for this position, please supply the following to: rh7cgj91ey3geaxob5w97odj9e@crelate.net, and please put the job number
