Is this your next job Read the full description below to find out, and do not hesitate to make an application.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Materials Pathfinding Leadership:Lead and own materials pathfinding efforts to advance technology scaling, focusing on optimizing performance versus cost.Drive innovation and explore new materials and processes to enhance product performance and cost-effectiveness.Materials Process Engineering:Lead all aspects of materials process engineering across front-end CMOS and back-end cell fields.Develop and optimize processes such as PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition), ALD (Atomic Layer Deposition), and CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) to meet technology requirements.Vendor Management and Strategy:Collaborate closely with fab materials and equipment vendors.Define clear problem statements and success criteria based on strategic objectives.Drive vendors to align with Western Digital’s strategic goals and ensure clarity in expectations.Equipment Selection and Evaluation:Determine requirements for multi-million dollar equipment selection.Evaluate configurations and capabilities of equipment to meet process and integration needs.Ensure equipment choices align with project timelines and performance goals.Project Leadership:Lead cross-functional projects under conditions of ambiguity and constraints.Drive project teams to achieve milestones and deliverables within specified timelines and budget constraints.Semiconductor Process and Integration:Develop semiconductor process and integration strategies, particularly in CMOS and memory fields.Implement advanced materials development techniques to enhance product performance and reliability.Material Selection and Product Development:Guide technical staff in developing materials tailored for specific product applications.Review new product plans and recommend materials based on design objectives (e.g., structural and electrical properties).Position Overview:You hold a senior role at Western Digital, responsible for leading and managing materials pathfinding and process engineering aspects critical for scaling technology performance versus cost in next-generation memory development.Qualifications:Technical Expertise:

In-depth knowledge of semiconductor materials, processes (PVD, ALD, CVD), and integration techniques.Leadership:

Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams, particularly in ambiguous and high-pressure environments.Vendor Management:

Strong skills in managing relationships with equipment and materials vendors, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.Project Management:

Experience in leading complex projects from conception to implementation.Strategic Thinking:

Ability to develop and execute strategies that align technology development with business objectives.Problem-Solving:

Aptitude for identifying and addressing technical challenges and constraints effectively.Communication:
