The AWS Search Marketing team is hiring a Business Analyst to raise the bar on Search data and insights within AWS Marketing.

The Business Analyst is an analytical individual who has high standards and is efficient in obtaining and utilizing data to inform marketing decisions. This individual will be in the Search Marketing team and work with team members to define problem statements, develop requirements and execute on projects that bring data-driven insights to the team. The individual will seek ways to Invent and Simplify, scaling their inputs to the organization via automated and unique solutions.

Key job responsibilities

Work with Search marketers to understand business goals, define KPIs, and provide insights and reporting on how AWS customers engage with our marketing websites

Analyze, track and report on search-related data

Support deep dive analyses and priority Search programs through data compilation and insights

Create reports and alerting mechanisms via reporting scripts and other methods

Perform keyword research and data analysis to make the case for projects and their prioritization

Partner with other Business Analysts and data-related teams to raise the bar on marketing measurement

Explore new analytical methods via generative AI capabilities

AWS Search Marketing is focused on delivering a great search experience for AWS customers and prospective customers. We manage SEO and SEM across search engines like Google, Bing and others. These are key sources of traffic for how customers find the information they need by engaging with AWS. AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

Experience with Excel

2+ years of Experience in Search marketing, including paid search (SEM) and/or organic search (SEO), gathering and utilizing data from Search products and ad platforms via UI reporting, scripts and other methods

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
