Job DescriptionPosition Summary :
We are a leading residential single-family homebuilder seeking an experienced UI/UX Manager to join our IT department. In this crucial role, your primary responsibility will be to lead the enhancement of user experiences for our internal business applications. While the frequency of external projects may be occasional, the responsibilities and expectations for these projects will be on par with those for internal initiatives. Key Duties and Responsibilities:Elevate Internal Application Excellence:
Lead efforts to elevate the user experience within our internal business applications, with a focus on innovative design solutions, streamlined processes, and improved user satisfaction.Resource Management:
Oversee and manage a team of 4 offshore resources, each with distinct competencies in traditional UX, design, and front-end development. Scale the team up or down as needed to meet project requirements.External Projects:
While the primary focus is on internal systems, actively contribute to the development of customer and supplier-focused applications, with responsibilities and expectations equivalent to those for internal initiatives.Advocate for UX:
Promote the importance of user experience design within our organization, emphasizing its role in enhancing productivity and operational efficiency.Hands-On Leadership:
Actively engage in UI/UX design activities to ensure that our internal tools are user-friendly and intuitive.Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, conduct user research, and iteratively improve our applications.Design System Management:
Manage and evolve a consistent design system for our internal applications.Team Leadership and Mentoring:
Provide mentorship and guidance to the UI/UX team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.Resource Allocation:
Efficiently allocate and manage resources to meet project requirements and deadlines.Data-Driven Decision Making:
Utilize data analytics to make informed UX design decisions and identify areas for improvement.Experience and SkillsEducation & Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of UI/UX expertise, with a strong focus on internal business application development.Showcase a portfolio highlighting past achievements related to internal business application design enhancements and improvements.Previous experience in leadership or mentorship roles within UI/UX is a plus.
