Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Motion Designer + Video Editor to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for editing videos and creating sophisticated motion graphics for various platforms. With a background in working for major broadcast outlets, this individual will be proficient in multi-camera editing, color correction, audio mastering, and from-scratch graphic design using After Effects and Illustrator to create Essential Graphics templates. They will be adept at using digital asset managers and industry-standard software including Premiere Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve. Additionally, the candidate should have experience exporting content tailored for specific platforms such as YouTube, PMAX, TikTok, Instagram, digital signage, and stadium LED displays.
Not merely a junior with a passing affinity for motion and video, they’ll bring chops from working on major projects and likely have their own toolkit and recommendations. This role is often in the hot seat to be handed a script, recommend some visuals, and be off to the races to make a creative spot based on what’s in our vast footage library.
Key Responsibilities:
● Video Editing: Edit high-quality videos, ensuring a polished final product that meets
brand standards and project requirements.
● Motion Graphics: Create sophisticated motion graphics to enhance video content,
making it visually engaging and dynamic.These include lower thirds, full screen graphics,
branded transitions, countdown timers, captions, and use of stylized stock footage
elements.
● Multi-Camera Editing: Perform multi-camera editing, ensuring seamless integration of
footage from various angles and sources.
● Color Correction: Conduct color correction from different color spaces such as SLog,
CLog, DLOG, ARRI and HLS color to Rec709 to enhance visual quality and maintain
consistency across all video content, whether through Lumetri Color, Cinematch, or
Davinci Resolve.
● Audio Mastering: Master audio tracks to ensure clarity, balance, and overall quality in
the final video production. Use nascent machine-learning tools to clean up audio to be its
best, and create a balanced mix of music, VO, and foley FX.
● Graphic Design: Utilize graphic design skills to create visually appealing elements for
video and motion graphics projects. Often working from a style guide, this role iterates
and extends existing design creative for video. An affinity for different illustration styles is
a huge plus.
● Thumbnail creation: The ability to utilize design rules to make an engaging quick
illustration for a YouTube Thumbnail. Utilizing fonts and design elements from our style
guide as well as tools like Generative Fill, be able to kitbash an attractive thumbnail or
title card for a piece of content.
● Digital Asset Management: Efficiently organize and manage digital assets using digital
asset management systems such as Canto, Widen, Frame.io and Dropbox.
● Software Proficiency: Utilize industry-standard software including Premiere Pro, After
Effects, and DaVinci Resolve to execute video and motion graphics projects.
● Platform-Specific Exporting: Export bespoke versions of content tailored for individual
platforms such as YouTube, PMAX, TikTok, Instagram, digital signage, and stadium LED
displays.
● Collaboration: Work closely with the Creative Director, Project manager, and other
Video Editors to ensure the creative vision is achieved in all video projects.
● Innovation: Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in video editing and
motion graphics to continually bring fresh ideas to the table, this will mean utilizing
FilmImpact, Red Giant / Maxon tools, GyroFlow.
Qualifications:
● Experience: Proven experience working with major broadcast outlets or agencies for
brands, with a strong portfolio showcasing sophisticated motion graphics and video
editing work.
● Skills: Exceptional skills in multi-camera editing, color correction, audio mastering, and
graphic design.
● Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci
Resolve, and experience with digital asset management systems.
● Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
● Creative Vision: Ability to translate creative concepts into visually compelling video
content.
● Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple
projects and meet tight deadlines.
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a
related field is preferred.
● Technical Knowledge: Use of proxies, proper ingest, and the ability to pick up an
arbitrary plugin or script to get a job done, such as CompsFromSpreadsheet. Familiarity
with exporting content for various platforms, including YouTube, PMAX, TikTok,
Instagram, digital signage, and stadium LED displays.
Location: Chicago 3 days a week, remote 2 days a week

The pay range for this role considers several factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Camping World, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors stated. A reasonable estimate of the current range is listed below.
Pay Range:
$89,565.00-$134,295.00 Annual
