We're a small creative team of video game developers based in Boulder, Colorado with team members across the United States who are focused on creating kind, collaborative, and imaginative games. We formed in late 2019, with the desire to assemble the best and brightest in the industry to work on carefully selected projects that we deem innovative and challenging.

In 2023 we launched Hello Kitty Island Adventure which was the Apple Arcade Game of the Year!

As a Senior UI Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with our engineering and UX teams to architect and implement performant UI systems. You will focus on creating efficient user interfaces that support multiple control schemes, and perform seamlessly on both mobile and console platforms.

An ideal candidate has experience shipping games on a variety of platforms, with strong Unity, C#, and mobile/console experience.

This job is based in Boulder, CO. Remote options for employees located in the US are available in qualifying situations.

Responsibilities

Architect, develop, and iterate on innovative UI systems using modern design patterns.Ensure support for multiple control schemes, including touch, gamepad, and keyboard/mouse.Implement features to support mocking, enabling the UX team to easily test and iterate on designs.Optimize UI performance on mobile and console platforms through efficient caching and pooling techniques.Write and maintain stable and reliable UI code.Excel in an environment with a lot of creative freedom and personal responsibility.Help mentor other team members, especially in UI development best practices.Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of professional programming experience with at least one shipped game.Proven experience in architecting UI systems and shipping UI features in Unity.Expert-level knowledge and experience in C#.Strong understanding of game design sensibilities and a passion for creating engaging user experiences.Comfortable working remotely.Pluses

A degree in computer science, math, or game development with an engineering focus.Experience with real-time multiplayer games.Generalist experience across all aspects of game development.

The standard base pay range for this role is $120,000-165,000 per year. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on other factors, such as relevant experience and performance.
