Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join us as the Director of Marketing - Rare Malignancies, who will play an important role in leading HCP promotion and helping to set the short term & long-term US vision for Kite’s Rare Malignancies portfolio. The Director will act as a key contributor on the US Marketing team overseeing promotions of Kite’s products/indications approved in several types of non-Hodgkin lymphoma and acute leukemia. Internally known as a Director of Marketing, this person will report to the Executive Director of US Marketing.

To develop and foster meaningful connections with stakeholders, we would prefer that this Director be located at Kite’s Santa Monica, California headquarters (3 days per week onsite required) and would provide a generous relocation package as necessary.

Key

Responsibilities

of the Director of Marketing - Rare Malignancies include:

Facilitate strategic planning and tactical implementation of brand POA for Kite’s rare malignancies portfolio in collaboration with key cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. Medical, Sales, Value and Access, Commercial Insights and Analytics, Global Marketing, etc.) .

Partner with Commercial Analytics and Operations to shape ongoing insights generation and their operational integration to optimize brand strategies and marketing tactics.

Effectively partner with the salesforceleadership and CL&D to pull-through high impact marketing tactics to cultivate brand objectives for Rare Malignancies, including brand leadership at national sales meetings.

Lead implementation of Rare Malignancies presence at key national and local medical meetings (TCT, ASCO & ASH, SOHO, etc.)

Lead Promotion Review Committee (PRC) process for Rare Malignancies to ensure HCP branded/unbranded marketing materials are cleared for use on time and at cost.

Oversee creative agency of record management (staffing and budget).

Manage promotional cost center budget coordinating with team members as appropriate.

Ensures that all marketing activities are following regulatory and legal requirements.

Up to 30% domestic travel.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate and 8+ years of experience

OR

Master’s Degree and 10+ years of experience

OR

Bachelor’s Degree and 12+ years of experience

OR

Associate Degree and 14+ years of experience

OR

High School Diploma/GED and 16+ years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

10+ years of relevant marketing or related healthcare experience; heme/oncology and/or rare diseases experience highly preferred.

Advanced science degree such as MD, PharmD, PhD or an advanced business degree such as an MBA is desirable.

Experience with product in various lifecycles is highly preferred.

Experience in hematology/oncology, rare diseases highly preferred.

Omnichannel marketing experience desired.

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams or work groups, including leadership without authority/direct reporting lines.

Excellent strategic thinker with ability to formulate, develop and executestrategy in partnership with other cross- functional stakeholders.

Demonstrated analytical abilities to synthesize complex data and insights into an extensive brand plan.

Bold thinker, willing to take calculated risks to drive results.

High learning agility demonstrated through diverse professional experience (e.g. various TAs, functions and healthcare settings).

Excellentinterpersonal skills with ability to lead, interact with, focus, resolve conflict and nurture consensus among individuals from a variety of cultures and disciplines.

Meaningful team player and motivated individual contributor.

Goal oriented with sense of importance..

Excellentcommunications skills with an ability to efficiently and productively communicate both orally and in writing.

The salary range for this position is: $201,025.00 - $260,150.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
