You have Sales. You have Customer service. And then you have the Account Management (AM) with one foot in each department. The Manager, Account Management leads a team of Account Managers who act as the liaison between Goodreads and our advertising customers, and it is their responsibility to see that customers are maximizing the value of the products and services provided in order to meet or exceed their advertising goals. There is also a sales component to the job as well as it's the Account Management team's duty to maintain relationships and grow revenue from their portfolio of accounts.

At Goodreads, the Manager, Account Management is on the front line of our business and works closely with our NY-based Sales team to strategize, create and successfully deliver advertising campaigns for book publishers, authors, and non-endemic clients, all while providing an exceptional customer service experience.

Key job responsibilities

Work collaboratively with sales and ad ops to provide best-in-class support to advertisers.

Facilitate a smooth, successful interaction for advertisers from RFP through final reporting

Lead team to respond in a timely manner to publisher RFPs and requests, providing product and targeting recommendations based on Goodreads expertise

Through a consultative approach, lead team to develop insights into publishers KPI’s and help them meet those goals by leveraging Goodreads’ ad products

Lead team to protect revenue by ensuring timely campaign and ad placement launches and making proactive suggestions to mitigate delivery and pacing issues.

Interact with Finance department in regards to Billing requests/issues

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers

Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders

Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software

Experience in digital advertising and client facing roles with a focus on data analysis

Team management experience

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of digital advertising or search advertising or analytics solutions (e.g. Google Analytics)

Experience with annual brand and media planning

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $126,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $208,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
