The person we're looking for:
PUBG Studios Madison, WI office is seeking a skilled individual to take on a high impact Senior External Artist - 3D role.
Our ideal candidate is a results-driven professional with a keen eye for artistic detail and a bias towards action. They will help deliver high-quality work on time while also cultivating a supportive and inclusive culture. This will be a hands-on 3D role, helping to block out, review, and deliver ready-to-use assets from external vendors to the game art team.
Responsibilities
Work with art direction, operations, production, discipline leads and tech art to deliver and integrate quality, ready-to-use 3D assets into the game project.Provide timely, clear, comprehensive, and consistent feedback to external vendors.Oversee and refine review processes to consistently deliver on established artistic vision, technical and quality standards.Evaluate and educate vendors on nanite PBR compliant workflows: modular kits, texel rates, & trim sheet usage.Foster an inclusive and respectful culture of critique.A Typical Day May Include:
Create block out models and gather other reference for vendorsProvide timely, clear, comprehensive, and consistent feedback to external vendors.Troubleshoot technical problems and integrate art assets into build.Update documentation and apprise the game team of progress or delays.Participate in playtests and understand the product.Qualifications
5+ years of real-time 3D experience in a related games position.Proficiency with DCC software such as Maya, Zbrush, Photoshop, Substance.Experience with Unreal or other real-time 3D game engines.Experience setting-up and using production tools such as Shotgrid, MIRO, Slack, Perforce, JIRA, Google Workspace, MS Office.Experience communicating with external vendors through asset creation and development.Must reside in the United States during employmentWhat we offer:
