Job Description

The Marketing Manager I/II, RINVOQ HCP Marketing is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing HCP marketing plans and programs needed to accelerate the growth of RINVOQ in Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA), a new indication for AbbVie. Additionally, you will:

Work in a team-based environment to lead the development and execution of strategies and implementation of digital tactics to support more patients to get the help they need for GCA and best position RINVOQ for success

Foster positive working relationships with the entire GCA and Rheumatology marketing team, sales force, medical affairs, market research, sales training, regulatory, and other cross franchise marketing teams.

Work with various agencies and consultants, key opinion leaders, and co-marketing partners to successfully drive the business and achieve launch ambitions.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Demonstrate a strong understanding of the patient and ensure that all marketing activities align with the needs of the target audience.

Develop and execute high-impact go-to market strategies that are innovative, executable, and clinically/financially supported to drive disease state awareness and brand preference.

Requires the ability to understand and integrate customer feedback and research insights, monitoring progress against brand milestones in order to make strategic recommendations for optimal brand performance.

Work with internal cross functions groups and external partners to insure integration and consistency of business strategies and regulatory compliance of promotional material.

Evaluate the effectiveness of campaign strategies through campaign measurement and metrics development to ensure positive return on investment and achievement of brand objectives.

Identify problems proactively and conceptualize solutions using creativity and innovation.

Effectively track and manage marketing budget for area of responsibility.

Consistently manage multiple projects to deliver high-quality work product in a timely fashion.

Continually evaluate the effectiveness of marketing programs and recommend changes in strategy or tactics as appropriate

Think innovatively regarding the application of new technologies to marketing, particularly within a regulated environment

Proactively support the sales force through ongoing communications of marketing programs

Apply marketing concepts in the development of marketing plans and programs including brand positioning, brand architecture, SWOT analysis, competitive assessment, market research, marketing objectives/strategies, patient segmentation, etc.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Medical/Pharmacology related field

Excellent communication (oral, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills.

Communicate clearly and concisely with several types and levels of staff and external contacts, both in writing and verbally

Strong planning and organization skills, attention to detail, execution, and follow-through

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA

Previous marketing experience of 5+ years brand marketing/consumer promotion or equivalent experience with complex project management responsibility in medical/scientific function

Key AbbVie Competencies:

Strong collaboration and team orientation, with experience accomplishing results through others and influencing others.

Efficient project management and communication capabilities along with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

Knowledge of market trends and competitive practices.

Execution of Goal Plan, AbbVie Ways of Working with associated Leadership Attributes

“This role can be hired as a Grade 18 or 19. The candidate’s experience will determine grade.”

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.​

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs. ​
