WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER

The Associate Director of Marketing and Communications develops, implements, and manages the marketing and communications strategic plan for The Nature Conservancy's Leveraging our Lands program. This position will report to the Director, North America Activation and Integration with a dotted line to the Director, Leveraging our Lands. This is a 3-year term position, with potential for renewal.

The Associate Director of Marketing and Communications will develop and implement a multi-year strategic marketing and communications plan designed to deepen supporter engagement and generate brand awareness and revenue via preserve visitation. This person will develop strategic recommendations for and oversee the implementation of the plan while coordinating with colleagues across the organization including those within Global Marketing and Communications, Global Donor Relations, Membership, Conservation Science, and within the local business units to ensure representation of voices/perspectives across TNC and consistency of brand.

They serve as the strategic lead for Leveraging our Land's preserve marketing and activation efforts. They will lead, develop and implement strategies to elevate communications about TNC's network of preserves, engaging broad and target audiences by leading and executing online web content, digital promotions, email outreach, and social media engagement campaigns as well as on preserve branding and engagement opportunities that can be replicated across TNC's network of preserves. They will ensure adherence to brand principles, whether applied internally or with external partners.

As Associate Director of Marketing and Communications, Leveraging our Lands, you will:

Develop a multi-year strategic marketing and communications plan as well as a structure for decision-making surrounding TNC's Leveraging our Lands initiative

``` - Develop and measure KPIs to track audience engagement, awareness, revenue, and membership via preserve visitation

``` - Manage Leveraging our Lands marketing and communications budget and create reports for funders

``` - Implements Leveraging our Lands strategic marketing and communications plan and makes strategic recommendations for adjustments based on tracking KPIs tied to key results/interim milestones

``` - Responsible for creating online web content, digital promotions, email outreach, nd social media engagement campaigns that are replicability across TNC

``` - Organize, manage, and coordinate diverse projects and activities with many variables, including managing the tracking, reporting, and analysis of digital performance data

``` - Leverage a variety of digital tools and platforms

```{=html}

``` - Coordinate with key internal and external stakeholders

```{=html}

``` - Works to resolve complex issues independently within program area with counsel from Director of Leveraging Our Lands and Director of N. America Activation and Integration

``` - Ensures adherence to brand principles and alignment with global development priorities

``` - Oversee contractors as needed.

``` - Assist with creation/administration of budget, evaluates results and develops corrective strategies as needed.

``` - Responsible and accountable for meeting strategic goals and objectives

``` - May manage one or more professional staff and accountable for achievement of team business and professional development goals and objectives.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOU

``` - Demonstrated ability in managing the fiduciary aspects of planning and delivery of budgets.

``` - Excellent writing, presentation, communication, mediation and negotiation skills.

``` - Familiarity with communication technologies and best practices, e.g., content management software, digital and graphic design skills, Adobe InDesign, or similar software.

``` - Management experience that includes ability to lead, motivate, set objectives and manage performance and conflict resolution.

``` - Fosters an environment of creativity and professional growth.

``` - Excellent writing, presentation, communication, mediation and negotiation skills.

``` - Ability to persuasively convey the mission of The Nature Conservancy to diverse groups including donors, board members, and the public.

``` - Expert knowledge of current and evolving trends in relevant marketing disciplines. Cross disciplinary knowledge to support program objectives.

``` - Demonstrated ability in managing the fiduciary aspects of planning and delivery of budgets.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Bachelor's degree in related field and a minimum of 8 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

``` - Experience supervising staff and teams.

```{=html}

``` - Experience cultivating and managing client relationships.

```{=html}

``` - Experience in project management, developing marketing strategies and measuring results.
