Job DescriptionPosition Purpose:The Manager, Brand PR is a key member of the Home Depot Brand Public Relations Team and is responsible for driving external communications efforts for The Home Depot and its narrative aroundathletic sponsorships. This position works with a team of communication professionals to identify opportunities with key external stakeholders, primarily media and industry influencers, to amplify the organization's sports and marketing efforts including strategic collaboration, tactical execution and measurement of PR efforts.This role is an excellent opportunity for career advancement and personal growth for the successful candidate who demonstrates a differentiated drive, leadership skills, creativity and a collaborative spirit. Working with The Home Depot's Marketing Teams, the candidate must be able to collaborate cross-functionally to manage and enhance consumer and trade communications programs. He/She must be an excellent project manager, possess strong media relations skills, and budget management experience as well as possess superior written and verbal communication skills.Key Responsibilities:In conjunction with Brand PR team and external agency, develop and deliver a measurable earned media strategy that supports The Home Depot's sports marketing objectives and engages The Home Depot's customer base to drive year-over-year business growth.

(40%)Provide counsel, develop, and execute communications campaigns and pr events that support business objectives in collaboration with marketing, e-commerce, merchandising, professional services, corporate newsroom and other departments.

(30%)Development of a strong collaborative partnership with The Home Depot's marketing team to support new marketing and sales initiatives in retail stores and online.

(15%)Support The Home Depot's marketing narrative through thought leadership and trade communications campaigns

(15%)Direct Manager/Direct Reports:Typically reports to the Director, Public Relations.Typically requires the ability to lead negotiations in a highly competitive or adversarial environment.Typically faces situations are unstructured and require original approaches.Typically solves problems by considering courses of action within the framework of management' s goals and standards.Typically expected to provide infrequent status reports to management only as appropriate.Travel Requirements:Typically requires overnight travel up to 30% of the time.Physical Requirements:Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.Working Conditions:Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.Under regular pressure to meet deadlines, quotas and/or must frequently deal with difficult issues related to people or situations.Minimum Qualifications:Must be eighteen years of age or older.Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.Under regular pressure to meet deadlines, quotas and/or must frequently deal with difficult issues related to people or situations.Must pass the drug testMust successfully complete any required training or orientation coursesPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree Communications, Journalism or Public Relations preferred.6-8 years combined corporate and agency experience in the sports field.
