Packaging Structural Designer

This position is responsible for designing and testing packaging solutions to meet customer needs using provided software, equipment, and materials. The role involves collaborating with various departments to develop cost-effective and manufacturable corrugated designs that exceed customer expectations.Develop and test packaging solutions to meet customer needsCreate point-of-purchase, protective, E-commerce, signage, and multi-material designsCollaborate with Sales to gather and process information for customer objectivesTravel to customers as needed for project completion and relationship buildingMaintain detailed specifications and documentationStay updated on retail guidelines and relative testing protocolsManage individual workload of assigned projects using project management softwareEnsure timely completion of projects to satisfy internal and external clientsSupport Customer Service and Manufacturing in processing new item ordersKeep work areas clean and organized for safety and aesthetic purposesComply with company policies and proceduresUndertake additional responsibilities assigned by managementQualifications:8 to 10 years of packaging and/or product design experienceProven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyFamiliarity with retailer specifications, print production, and manufacturing processExpertise in corrugated facility and machinery, board combinations, and customer capabilitiesAbility to gather and translate requirements and specifications to create packaging that meets customer needs and expectationsProficiency in design software and the production of design documentationWillingness to travel as needed to support the design development processEducation/Experience:Four-year degree in Packaging, Design, or Engineering;or five years of experience in corrugated structural design.
