Job ID-133112 1/2 Time Work Location: Provo Campus Environment: General office or other equivalently good environment Communications Manager The communications manager will work with English Department leadership and faculty committee to direct public relations, digital communication, printed materials, and social media. What you will do: Digital Communication. Compose and/or review digital communication sent to students, faculty, and alumni. This includes weekly newsletter, new student welcome, notifications about opportunities such as scholarships, writing contests, course offerings, etc. Website. Update and maintain website content. Social Media. Create and monitor social media content that promotes English Department academic programs, events, students, faculty, alumni, research, and opportunities. Printed Materials. Design and publish materials for academic programs and events. These materials may be used for recruiting events, information sessions, faculty workshops, recognition events, scholarship/contest opportunities, etc. Faculty and Student Highlights. Identify and facilitate spotlights on faculty and student accomplishments and promote them in the department, college, and university levels. Liaison to Humanities College. Work with Humanities college Digital Media and Communications team to ensure materials and content are aligned with university and college guidelines. Education/Experience Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience Preferred: Experience working in the liberal arts, specifically humanities, literature, composition, or creative writing.
