Your impact

The primary purpose of this role is to develop and manage strategic communication plans and messaging to inform and engage internal and external audiences. This includes responsibility for the delivery of comprehensive communications that are tied to enterprise-wide strategic goals. The Sr. Manager, Corporate Communications also will develop and manage external communications strategies that protect and promote the Lowe’s brand and reputation. This experienced communicator will provide strategic communication guidance and counsel to leaders and their teams.

What you will do

Creates and manages public relations plans aligned with enterprise strategy and ensures communications are developed, approved, and delivered on time and on budget.

Oversees the development and implementation of compelling integrated content to inform and engage internal and external audiences.

Develops and manages media relations, executive visibility and thought leadership communications strategy.

Manages relationships with public relations agency partners, including tracking and budgets, providing related direction, guidance and oversight to both agency and business partners on agency matters.

Recommends external and internal communication strategies and ensures messaging is delivered to all appropriate stakeholders

Identifies and manages issues in a fast-paced environment.

Serves as a trusted communications advisor and provides strategic counsel to senior leadership and key stakeholders across the organizations

Develops and deepens cross-functional relationships across the business to ensure seamless collaboration.

Responsible for measuring effectiveness of internal and external communications programs.

Approves communications and supervises the project management of special communication projects and initiatives.

Is entrusted with confidential and sensitive company information

Selects, manages and develops a best-in-class team of talent

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree Strategic Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Television/Media

7 years of experience Corporate Communications, or Public Relations agency experience

5 years of experience people management/supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree Strategic Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Television/Media

3 years Corporate Communications retail experience

10 years of experience Corporate Communications, or Public Relations agency experience
